Where to open Captain
You can chat with Captain in three places: a panel in the OceanResume dashboard, the standalone Captain app, and a tab in the OceanResume mobile app. The conversation about a profile is the same in all three.
In the OceanResume dashboard
Section titled “In the OceanResume dashboard”Captain is a panel inside the dashboard. You do not sign in again.
- In the profile editor, Captain docks on the right side of the page and works on the profile you have open. You can resize it. Your browser remembers the width and whether you left it open.
- On other dashboard pages, Captain is a chat bubble. It opens on Which profile should Captain work on? Pick a profile to start. Select Choose another profile to go back to the list.
- On a phone-sized screen, both open as a full-screen sheet.
When Captain changes a section you have open in the editor, the editor reloads that section.
You can close the panel while Captain is answering. The reply carries on, and the Captain button shows a dot until it is finished.
Open Captain at the top of the panel opens the standalone app, for your credit history and model settings.
In the Captain app
Section titled “In the Captain app”The Captain app is Captain on its own page. Sign in with your InteOcean account. It has three pages:
- Profiles lists your profiles with how complete each one is, and whether it is Live or Draft and has Unpublished changes. Select a profile to open its chat.
- Credits shows your balance, the last 30 days of use and every message with its cost. See Monthly credits.
- Model is where you connect your own AI model. See Set it up.
In a chat, All profiles takes you back to the list.
In the OceanResume mobile app
Section titled “In the OceanResume mobile app”The mobile app has a Captain tab. It lists your profiles with your credit balance; select one to chat. On a profile’s screen, Ask Captain about this profile opens the same chat.

Once your own model is set up in the Captain app, the dashboard panel can use it too.
If Captain is not there
Section titled “If Captain is not there”Captain is off right now means Captain is switched off for the moment. Check back later.
If the dashboard shows no Captain panel, or the mobile app has no Captain tab, Captain is not offered there at the moment. Contact the support portal if you expected it.
