Monthly credits

Captain credits pay for the messages Captain answers. Your OceanResume plan comes with a monthly allowance of them, and the allowance refills on the date shown next to your balance.

  • Each message Captain answers costs a number of credits. See How a message is charged.
  • The allowance belongs to your account, not to one profile. Chats about all your profiles draw from the same balance.
  • The balance is the same wherever you use Captain: the dashboard panel, the Captain app and the mobile app.
  • Messages answered by your own AI model use no credits. See Requirements.

How many credits a plan includes is listed on the pricing page. For how plans and limits work in general, see Plans and limits in the OceanResume docs.

In the Captain app. The header shows how many credits you have left. For the detail, open Credits:

  • The total you have left.
  • A bar for the monthly allowance, with how many credits are left out of the allowance and the date it refills.
  • Any extra credits you hold, shown as “from packs · never expire”.

In the dashboard panel. The line under the message box shows your credits left.

In the mobile app. The Captain tab shows your balance with the list of profiles.

When your balance is low, the count changes colour and a button to get more appears beside it, if one applies to your plan. See Running out of credits.

The Credits page in the Captain app also shows:

  • Last 30 days: the credits you spent and the number of messages, as a chart by day. The chart separates Monthly credits from Packs.
  • The actions Captain ran for you, with a count for each, for example “Updated an entry · 12”.
  • Messages: every message with its date and its cost. Select a message to open that profile’s chat. A message that did not finish normally is marked Stopped, Stopped early, Refused or Failed. A message answered by your own model is marked Your own model and shows no cost.

In a chat, the cost of each reply is shown under Captain’s name, for example “3 credits”.

If you also hold extra credits, Captain spends the monthly allowance first and the extra credits only after the allowance is used up. Extra credits do not expire and stay with you when you change plans.

Captain stops answering in Credits mode until the allowance refills or you get more credits. Your profile and everything Captain already changed stay as they are. See Running out of credits.
